Trouser jeans have been an American time for quite a long time now. They are made from denim fabric which is quite durable and versatile.
These trousers were in the early days made by renowned firms such as Levi Strauss and C Rogers at around 1873.Ever since the fifties jeans which was the main trouser for the rich started to gain attention amongst teenage groups. It was related with trend and toughness as seen by the many early actors who wore them.
There are many forms of plus size trouser jeans which include flare, straight, skinny, boot cut and many others. Some of these ears are the mot popular trousers all over the world. Moreover, jeans vary in color and there are black, red and green shades but the most popular color is blue. In America, denim trouser are more often related to the west cowboy culture.
Manufacturing Trouser Jeans
The manufacturing of denim trouser jeans is quite an interesting process. It is a common practice for denim to be first dyed blue by applying purple coloring. Other colors that can also be applied using dye are black, white or yellow. It is estimated that around 5 million purple tons of dye are manufactured on a year’s basis to blend the jeans.
Today, some firms prefer pre-shrinking their wears so that they can ft to the required standard sizes required by customers. Here, the material is suddenly dripped in water then left to dry slowly at a machine dryer. The end result of this is shriveling of denim material to the right size.
To add on, ‘sun-blasting’ is also popular for those who love customized denim trousers. However, research shows that this technique of producing trouser jeans is quite dangerous as it can lead to silicosis. Very few firms are unaware or willingly ignore this hazard while focusing on the profits. As a result of the disease, at least 46 factory workers infested in Turkey have already passed away. And there are still 4,500 more who are suffering from silicosis. Some governments are increasingly becoming aware of this infection caused by sandblasting jeans manually banning the production of denim trouser jeans this way.
The price placed on trouser jeans varies a lot depending on the brand, fashion trends and quality. For example, if teenagers suddenly realize their favorite musician wearing particular denim on TV, most may rush to get the same and consequently prices would shoot up and this is exactly what happened with Antik jeans. In the late eighties a pair of denim trousers went for 1.50 dollars but toady they average at around 35 USD. However, one can always get cheaper second hand wide leg trouser jeans from stores all over the states that specialize on selling used products.
