Installing aluminum fencing on your own is not as complicated as it sounds because they usually come with aluminum fence panels.
Steps To Installing Aluminum Fencing
You could use delgard aluminum fencing as this tends to be rust free. Here is what you would need to do. The first step would be to layout the line of your fence. You can do this using a measuring tape along with some wooden stakes. After putting down the stakes, you need to run string between them so that it designates where your aluminum fencing will be. When you are done making the line of string, ensure that the whole thing is square in shape. Proceed to make markings on all the centre locations as well as markings for the corner posts and the end posts. Once done with that, mark all the locations for your intermediate posts.
The next step would be to dig some holes where you expect to put in your fence. These holes should be twenty-four inches deep and eighteen inches in diameter. When digging holes for your aluminum fence gates, ensure that they are larger than the other holes. This is due to the fact that the gates get pulled and pushed on throughput their lifetime. Install the posts in their respective holes one after the other. You should ensure that the aluminum fence panels are set nearby. This will enable you to measure the width between the aluminum fence posts accurately.
When installing your aluminum fencing, you need to ensure that you also have some concrete. You will need the concrete to fill in each of the holes once you have inserted the fence posts. This done by setting a post, then filling in the hole with concrete until it is about five inches below ground level.
The five inches remaining in the hole are to allow you to fill the hole with earth thus concealing the hole as well as the concrete. You then have to ensure that all the posts of your aluminum fencing are level. You should do this before the concrete has set so as to avoid crooked posts.
Lastly, install the aluminum fence panels one after the other. Only do this after the concrete is dry. The aluminum fencing usually comes with its own nuts as wells as screws and bolts. When finished installing the aluminum fence panels, put in the aluminum fencing.
